2"x6" Beeswax/Tallow Pillar Candle

A 6" tall 2" wide round pillar candle made from a blend of commercial beeswax and our own candle-grade tallow with traditional hand-twisted linen wicking in the pre-1800's style.

Beeswax and tallow mixes go back centuries, both to save on beeswax which used to be much more precious than it is now and to make the beeswax candles burn brighter. This blend is two-thirds light-yellow beeswax and one-third hard tallow for a hard, long burning but bright candle with a style that goes beyond classic.

Beeswax and tallow are natural products: coloration will vary somewhat from candle to candle. "Dusting" or "bloom" on the surface of candles is natural when beeswax is allowed to sit. It can be left on for an antique look or polished off periodically with a soft cloth.

We have seen over 40 hour burn times for these candles. Your burn times may vary. Keep your candle away from drafts and keep your wick properly trimmed for most efficient burning. This candle contains animal products.
