Directions

We do not have a retail store at our farm, however, we sometimes have events and you may arrange to pickup online orders. Stotts City is roughly halfway between Springfield and Joplin and our farm is outside of it, just south of Interstate 44. Do not rely on MapQuest or GoogleMaps directions as they are wrong at the time of this writing; they put us almost a mile north of our actual location, but getting to our farm is actually quite easy:

Driving Directions

Take exit 38 (Stotts City) off of Interstate 44. Take a left at the bottom of the exit ramp (to route 97). Take a right onto route 97 South. Take your next left onto Lawrence 1050. This will be after a radio tower and a couple of farms. Our farm is the second farm on the left on 1050. There is nothing on the right except trees and pasture. If you go too far you will reach a pond on the right and a trailer park on the left. The house is off-white somewhat shrouded by some trees and shrubs at the roadside. The driveway is between the house and a wood/woven wire paddock under a walnut tree. There will be a round blue and white medieval shield leaning against the mailbox and we should be flying a banner with our blue, green, and white shield device on it.

Notes

In the wooden paddock there is a dog, a blue-heeler, ausie shephard mix. He has been abused in the past and is not friendly to strangers, especially men wearing baseball caps. He is quite well secured in his paddock, but, for your sanity and his, please do not attempt to approach or touch him. He is a work in progress, but, because of his distrust of just about anything, he makes a good livestock guardian...

Our farm is also a work in progress. It is a much-abused foreclosure we are hoping to restore to its early "Craftsman" style. Be aware of ongoing construction, mending, and cleanup around the property. In a decade or two, we should have it about where we want it.

If we do not answer immediately, we may be in the pasture. You can try our cell phone or try to raise us on a CB. We generally use channel 24 when doing work around the property.
