H.R. 4040, signed into law on 14 August 2008, will require us to no longer make, carry, or sell items for children under 12 years of age. The "Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008" will require each component of every product to be tested for lead by an independent lab. Given that such labs charge from $75 to $300 to test each component, a product such as a wool hood with a button which sells for $18 would need to sell for $100 to $300 in order to account for testing costs.

We can no longer guarantee delivery by Christmas for shipped items (New Years we can still do and 12th Night (Epiphany)) especially as Parcel Post seems to be running a little slow at the moment.
